Did the American Government Orchestrate the attacks on 9/11 to justify going to war with Iraq for their oil?

George Bush quotes "Our first priority is to get help to those who have been injured, and to take every precaution to protect our citizens at home and around the world from further attacks" (Statement by the President in His Address to the Nation 2001 para 1) in his first address to the nation following the 9/11 attacks, its a nice statement but why is it that the attacks weren't prevented from ever happening when the U.S Government had been warned in the summer of 2001 prior to the attacks by various other countries as well as other intelligence agencies "of impending attacks using hijacked aircraft"? (The Coincidence Theorist's Guide to 9/11 2004 para 17 ) The American Government had ample time to put in place preventative measures well before 9/11 but chose not to. I wonder why?. I also wonder how the attack on the pentagon was able to happen 1 hour and 20 minutes after the initial attacks by "a man who failed as a Cessna pilot on his first flight in a Boeing" (THE TOP 40 2006 para 3) and having the National Air Guard only 10 miles away?. There is allot of dubious information pointing at The American government being responsible including links between the Bush and Bin Laden families the airplane black boxes disappearing, F.B.I investigations prior to 9/11 and much much more.

Moving on, the fact that the Bush Administration chose to go to war with Iraq and focused on removing Saddam Hussein under the threat of WM D's when Saddam has not posed a threat to America since the gulf war, instead of focusing all their attention on the man who perpetrated these attacks on America seems a little strange to me.

Whats also strange is that although George Bush has always denied allegations of the invasion of Iraq being about oil the Bush administration had their eyes on the oil supplies of Iraq well before the attacks of 9/11 and the war had even started and Saddam removed the "U.S state department stressed that protection of oil fields was issue number 1" (US begins secret talks to secure Iraq's oilfields 2003 para 4 ). Not to mention the fact that "The relationship between the oil industry and the U.S administration from George Bush downwards is the closest in American history" (US begins secret talks to secure Iraq's oilfields 2003 para 16 ). points at oil being a major factor in the invasion of Iraq if not the main one.

Hi Aaron,

Yeah, everyone knows the Bush Administration was a little bit on the.. not so honest side. >.< But I've never done that much looking on the whole issues, so it was really good to see what you'd written and the links that you'd used.

And I never knew that about Saddam Hussein. :o I really did learn a lot from this.

Just maybe next time a clearer conclusion? It felt like it ended a little abruptly.

Now that you've mentioned it, there do seem to be so many suspicious points, especially the one you mentioned about Saddam Hussein. Was Iraq used as a shield to divert the public's focus?

I actually found out a lot more than I knew before, about 9/11 incident, you have made a lot of good arguments there. Thanks a lot for sharing!I wish to see a deeper view from you : )
